POSTDOCTORAL RESIDENCY IN THE GRADUATE PROGRAM OF SCHOOL OF NURSING AT UFGM, IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION NO. 02/2017 FROM 23 MAY 2017 OF THE UNIVERSITY COUNCIL.

The Graduate Program in Nursing of the School of Nursing at the Federal University of Minas Gerais offers a Postdoctoral Residency Program to the Community.

About the program:
Postdoctoral Residency in Nursing consists in the development of high specialization research activities, with professors of the Graduate Program in Nursing of the School of Nursing at UFMG. It aims at improving the School of Nursing's level of scientific excellence. Postdoctoral Residency can include academic teaching activities and/or extension in Undergraduate and/or Graduate Programs, under the supervision of an accredited professor. After having had their application in the Postdoctoral Residency program accepted, the interested parties will be enrolled and registered in the Graduate Program's Academic System, upon request of the Program's Executive Board.

Postdoctoral Modalities:

The following postdoctoral modalities are allowed:
1)Postdoctoral students without employment relationship, with scholarships granted by funding agencies.
2)Postdoctoral students with employment relationship, on leave, whether paid or not, of their duties at the institution of origin.
3)Self-funding postdoctoral students with or without employment relationship.

Requirements:
1)Doctoral degree in the field of Nursing or related areas.
2)Receiving guidance from a supervising professor, within the scope of the respective line of research.

Requirements for application:
I - Application requirement, using the template provided by the Program;
II- Copy of diploma or any other document proving the completion of the Doctoral Program;
III- Work plan with description of all proposed activities, indicating who the supervisor is, the line of research and the period of affiliation to the program.
IV- Letter of acceptance from the supervising professor, who must be accredited by the Graduate Program in Nursing.
VV - Curriculum lattes, or, in the case of foreign candidates, resume as indicated by the Executive Board.
VI- Research project with the approvals required by the relevant legislation for the implementation of research activities, in no more than 20 pages.
VII- Declaration of the time that will be dedicated to the Postdoctoral Internship, whether part-time or full-time.
VIII- Copies of the candidate's RG, CPF or equivalent document issued by the Federal Police in the case of foreigners and proof of residence.

Program duration:
Postdoctoral Residency will last a minimum of 3 (three) months and a maximum of 24 (twenty-four) months, with possibility of renewal at the discretion of the Executive Board of the Graduate Program in Nursing, upon the approval, by the supervising professor and by the Program's Executive Board, of the partial report of activities, as well as of the work plan for the new period requested.
